AUTOMOTIVE CATAPHORESIS
The cationic electrophoresis is a method of dip painting mainly used in the automotive industry, as a primary metal corrosion, but it can also be used by all types of manufacturers who need to protect metal parts against corrosion.
The principle involves immersing the part in a bath containing suspended particles. The primer, electro-deposited by a direct current, attaches itself uniformly to the part, including hollow parts and edges. This primer will protect the part, effectively combating corrosion.

Cataphoresis process
In operation of cataphoresis bath, the anolyte circuit will reduce the acidity of the bath.
An anode compartment is enclosed in a non-conductive material, this compartment is obstructed by the Electrodialysis semi-permeable membrane that isolates the anode.

This membrane is permeable to acid anions that are moving from the bath to the anode. In the anode compartment, the acid anions are neutralized.
